Yang Sheng in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can be translated as "nourishing life" or "cultivating vitality." A holistic lifestyle approach to health and wellbeing that focuses on the importance of preventive care and lifestyle practices to maintain harmony and balance in the body.

Key aspects of Yang Sheng in Traditional Chinese Medicine
TCM views health as a state of balance between Yin and Yang physiology. Yang Sheng   practices aim to harmonize this process to promote overall wellbeing.
Nutrition is a fundamental aspect of Yang Sheng. Consuming a balanced and varied diet based on the principles of TCM, which may include the classification of foods as warming or cooling to maintain balance.
Engaging in regular movement activities, such as Tai Chi, Qi Gong, or other exercises, is  considered essential for maintaining vitality and promoting the smooth flow of Qi (vital energy) throughout the body.
Stress management and emotional balance are crucial components of Yang Sheng. Meditation, mindfulness, and breathing exercises are often recommended to cultivate mental and emotional resilience.
Rest and quality sleep are emphasized in Yang Sheng. The body's ability to regenerate and restore balance is closely linked to the sleep-wake cycle
Yang Sheng encourages living in harmony with the natural environment. This includes spending time in nature, adapting to seasonal changes, and avoiding excessive exposure to environmental stressors.
Healthy social relationships and community involvement are considered important for emotional wellbeing and overall life satisfaction.
Yang Sheng emphasizes the importance of preventive care over reactive treatment. Regular check-ups, health screenings and early intervention are part of maintaining long-term health and wellbeing.
